Spending the day at Priory!
KMS April 8th, 2008We have the pleasure of working with the students today at Priory Integrated College. Mr. McKenzie, Ms. Gilman and Mrs. Caviness will work with the Year 8 students - our equivalent to 6th grade.
Before that, the students and staff of Priory will be holding a short assembly to introduce all of us to the school.
It is a beautiful sunny morning here in Northern Ireland. The temperature will be about 48 degrees
I hope to be adding pictures very soon.

Glad to hear it’s a nice day in Northern Ireland. The weather here is pretty much as it was when you left, 45 degrees, drizzly, northeast wind about 10mph blowing in from the ocean, just an all around miserable day. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

Hello,
Kelsey wants to know, “How come their school is called Priory Integrated College but the kids are the same age as we are?” We all want to know what you are eating over there! We need some pictures of the food from the Mayors dinner. Have a great time!

Hi Kelsey,
“College” in Northern Ireland is like middle and high school in Virginia Beach. Their “university” is like ours. Just a matter of terminology. At this evening’s dinner with the mayor, their were three former mayors in attendance and several other special guests. We have a light pasta salad, followed by baked chicken with a peach sauce, green beans, boiled and roasted potatoes, and baked Alaska for dessert. After dinner, we exchanged stories and gifts. Pictures were taken - will share upon return. Hope all is going well.
Best regards,
Mr. McKenzie
